STEP Parenting Course. . Congratulations!

Dear STEP Parenting course participants. Congratulations on completing the course!  I hope you found many parts of it beneficial and you now have some new strategies to use as you continue your journey of parenting.

During our discussions of Chapters 4-7 we covered the topics of how to use I-messages, reflective listening, understanding social and emotional development of children, understanding childrens' feelings, how to teach cooperation, how to discipline children using empathetic limits, logical/natural consequences and balance parenting with other life stresses.

WELCOME STEP Parenting Course!

This portion of the weebly is dedicated to parents involved in the current STEP Parenting sessions. Here is where you will find weekly  discussion highlights and any articles/books relevant to our current STEP topics.  

We have now finished discussing Chapters 1-3.  We have discussed parenting styles, traits/stages of childhood, child mis-behaviors and their expectations, parent expectations and beliefs, child beliefs about belonging, self-esteem and encouragement.
